BIG MEXICAN ADVENTURE 10 days

1 DAY (TUE) Arrival to Mexico City. Pick up in the airport and transfer to the hotel.

2 DAY (WED) City Tour + Teotihuacan. Sight-seeing tour around the city center includes the inspection of the Socalo - the political center of the country, the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace with the famous murals of Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Also, you will pass on the most beautiful street in Mexico City - Paseo de la -Reforma, which is famous for a huge number of monuments and memorials. After the city tour you will discover the city "Where the men become gods" - Teotihuacan and see the famous pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Full day excursion. Lunch is not included. Return to hotel. Rest.

3 DAY (THU) "Mexico – Puebla – Oaxaca.Departure to Puebla, “City of Angels”, visiting Santa Maria Tonantzintla, temple gorgeously decorated by indigenous hands. On our arrival to Puebla visit of the Rosario’s Chapel, the Cathedral, the Main Square and the Historical Downtown. Lunch. Continuation to Oaxaca. Arrival and overnight at Hotel Misión de los Angeles (4 star) or similar."

4 DAY (FRI) "Oaxaca – Monte Alban – Mitla – Tule. Overnight Oaxaca.Breakfast. During the morning visit to Monte Alban, a great archeological site built on a mountain top flattened by the Zapotecs where we will find different culture manifestations such as Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs.The main square, the observatory, Tomb # 7, the stones of the dancers are only some of the highlights of the site. Later, we will continue on to Mitla, one of the most enigmatic sacred places. The village had a great importance as a burial site and the buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. En route we will litelly meet the Tule tree, perhaps one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to Oaxaca and visit of this beautiful city, including the Cathedral, the magnificent Santo Domingo church and the Regional Museum. Overnight."

5 DAY (SAT) "Oaxaca – Sumidero Canyon – San Cristobal. Overnight San Cristobal de las Casas.
Simple breakfast en route. Early morning departure to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital city of the State of Chiapas. You will enjoy the landscapes of the southern mountains. Transfer by boat to Sumidero Canyon. Lunch. If time permits, we will walk by the eco-tourist park to enjoy the swimming pool or the zip-line (optional). Boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon, with 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) at its highest point. We continue to San Cristobal de Las Casas. Overnight at Hotel Casa Mexicana (4 star) or similar."

6 DAY (SUN) "San Cristobal de las Casas – Indian Communities. Overnight San Cristobal de las Casas.
Breakfast. Visit to San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, typical native towns, where the people still keep their traditions, language, customs, believes as well as their social structures. Sometimes you may witness traditional rituals. Inside the church temple, housing and clothing are very original. Afternoon at leisure. We recommend visiting the market, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo church as well as the Jade museum to view King Pakal´s tomb replica. Overnight."

7 DAY (MON) "San Cristobal de las Casas – Agua Azul – Palenque. Overnight Palenque.
Breakfast. Head to Agua Azul waterfalls to admire their turquoise colored waters. Afterwards we will continue on to Palenque. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Ciudad Real (4 star) or similar."

8 DAY (TUE) "Palenque – Campeche. Overnight Campeche. Breakfast. Visit to the archaeological site of Palenque, surrounded by the jungle, one of the primeand most important sites of the “Mayan World”. Inside the Pyramid of the Inscriptions, King Pakal's sarcophagus and its fascinating carved gravestone were found. We will admire the Sun Temple, the Cross Temple & the Palace. Ahead we will find a nice panoramic of the Gulf of Mexico. Lunch on your own. Continue on to the beautiful walled city of Campeche. Panoramic view through the city. Dinner. Overnight at Hotel Del Mar (4 star) or similar."

9 DAY (WED) "Campeche – Uxmal – Merida. Overnight Merida.Breakfast. Departure to Uxmal, “the three times built”, to know the Guesser Pyramid, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, Governor’s Palace & the ballgame court. Lunch. Arrival to Merida, ""the white city"" to enjoy a panoramic
view: Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, the Cathedral & Government Palace.
Overnight at Hotel El Conquistador (4 star) or similar.

10 DAY (THU) Merida – Chichen Itza - Cancun or Rivera Maya. Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most important and awesome Mayan site in Mexico. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO and one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. We will find advanced archaeo-astronomic knowledge in this city. We will visit the pyramid known as the "The Castle" or temple of Kukulcan , the largest ballgame court of the Mesoamerica, the skulls temple, the Jaguar’s temple, the observatory. Ahead to the beautiful cenote (sinkhole) of Ik-kil, where we will be able to swim in. Lunch. Continue to Cancun or Riviera Maya.
