Day 2. Mexico city – Teotihuacan – Anthropology museum
City tour in Mexico City - one of the largest cities. Luxury neighborhoods and slums, skyscrapers, built on modern technologies and small houses - all this creates a unique image of this city of contrasts. You will go to the Zócalo square, which is an important historical center of the capital. Here are concentrated the main historical and architectural monuments; Cathedral, National Palace with frescoes by Diego Rivera (Frescoes you could see if the Palace is open to public), etc. .. Then we go through one of the most beautiful streets of the city - Reforma Avenue- to reach the Anthropological Museum, world-famous thanks to its exhibits, among which are the treasures of the Indians inhabiting Mesoamerica. Then you will go into the mysterious Teotihuacan - the cult center of the ancient Indians, impressive in its scale and grandeur of the buildings, you will have the opportunity to climb the Pyramid of the Moon and the Sun to enjoy views of the city from the top. There is a hypothesis that the ancient inhabitants of Teotihuacan had knowledge of cosmic energy, which is now lost, and that the exact orientation of the ancient buildings of the sun, moon and stars has a deeper meaning. The strict geometric layout of Teotihuacan confirms these assumptions. In the evening, you will visit a Mexican restaurant that serves traditional Mexican dishes.
Day 3. Mexico City - Wine Tasting at "Rancho Toyan" - San Miguel de Allende
Departure from Mexico City to the state of wine - Queretaro. The cultivation of vineyards and wine production for consumption in Mexico began in the 16th century, from the time when the first Spaniards landed on the Mexican coast. In the last decade has been actively developing. On the way we will stop at the winery "Toyan Ranch", where you will know about the cultivation and production of Mexican wine, flavors and characteristics. You will also taste some wines and cheese. Then you go to the colonial city of San Miguel de Allende. In the evening you will have an unforgettable tour around this city which is a heritage of humanity and is under UNESCO protection. Day 4. San Miguel del Allende – Guanajuato
Departure to the next colonial city -Guanajuato, whose name is translated from the language of the local Indians as "hilly place of frogs”. Legends of the Indians tell about the rich deposits of precious metals, that the Spaniards began to exploit upon arrival. Then, there were numerous mines which simply were around the city, one of which will visit during the tour. You will also visit the old church, other colonial buildings, cozy squares and streets in the steep hillsides that give the city a special beauty.
Guanajuato is also known as the "city of lovers", here is the famous kiss alley, so named because it is located in a narrow corridor with two separated balconies by a distance of only 69 centimeters. According to legend, on this street lived a wealthy family whose daughter fell in love with an ordinary miner. They were forbidden to see each other but the miner took a room opposite to continue their love and from the balconies they could kiss secretly. Also you will visit the Museum of the mummies - it is the only museum in the world, in which people's bodies are stored, mummified naturally. Researchers believe that the mineral composition of the soil and dry climate have created ideal conditions for mummification. (Open on any day except Monday)
Day 5 Guanajuato - Tequila Tasting at Casa Herradura - Guadalajara
Departure to the famous Casa Herradura distillery in Jalisco, dedicated to the production of tequila since 1870. Herradura and its other plants are protected by UNESCO as world heritage. On this tour you will walk through the blue agave plantations, visiting the haciendas, covered with legends, as well as you will know the history of tequila´s production followed by a tasting of this valued drink. Then you will go to Guadalajara - capital of the state and named also "Pearl of the West" or "World capital of tequila." City tour. Hotel accommodation.
Day 6 Guadalajara - visit Tlaquepaque - Airport
Departure from the hotel to the airport. On the way you will visit the town of Tlaquepaque, famous for its ceramics and glass handmade. Arrival to the airport
